Hi, I'm Tim.

For over 30 years I've worked in education, starting in elementary and middle school classrooms, then moving into literacy education, and now serving as a Staff Development and Curriculum Specialist where I provide professional development and coaching to teachers and administrators in Central California.

Throughout that career I've done a lot of planning.

Professional conferences. Educator learning experiences. Curriculum events. And every family trip our crew has taken for decades.

Planning by researching destinations, finding value, and organizing experiences has always come naturally to me. Honestly, I enjoy it.

Where This All Started

In 2019 I planned a Mediterranean cruise for our my wife and I and close friends.

I handled the cruise research, the excursions, the shore day logistics, the restaurants - all of it.

Somewhere along the way I realized two things:

First: I genuinely loved doing it.

Second: A lot of people around me were booking trips without really planning them. They were getting to their destinations but missing the experiences that make a trip truly memorable. No excursions researched. No reservations made. No idea what they were walking into.

That gap between booking a trip and actually planning one stayed with me.

Timothy Budz Travel Services grew out of that realization.

What I've Experienced Firsthand

I believe a travel advisor should actually travel, and I do.

Some of the destinations I've explored personally:

🏔️ National Parks across the American West, including Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite right in our own backyard.

Next - Greece, then the British Isles. England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Paris.

After all my years in education I've learned that real help looks like listening first and advising second.

I don't lead with recommendations.
I lead with questions.

The answers to those questions shape everything I do.

I'm not here to push you toward a booking.
I'm here to help you find the right one.

I enjoy learning. It's genuinely one of my strengths and I enjoy sharing what I know. Travel planning shouldn't feel overwhelming or complicated. With the right guidance it can feel exactly the way a vacation should:

A Little More About Me

I've lived in California most of my life and I'm based in the Central Valley near Visalia.

My family and I make our way to the Central Coast several times a year, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, Santa Cruz and the surrounding area are among our favorite places to simply breathe and reset.

I have four children and four grandchildren,  which means I understand family travel from the inside out. The logistics, the different ages and interests, the need to make it work for everyone without making it stressful for anyone.

One thing I believe deeply:

Enjoy life while you're here. It's short.

Travel is one of the most meaningful ways I know to do that. Helping others experience it well is work I find genuinely rewarding.
